The "Gabillonhaus" was named after the two Burgtheater-actors Ludwig and Zerline Gabillon, it was in possession of their family for more than hundred years and was supposed to be owned by another representative of the Burgtheater. As a consequence it became the possession of Romuald Pekny and at the same time it was decided to open it up for the public.

Specific plans were made:This house, so rich in tradition should be a great source of stimulation. Therefore Adelheid Picha, Dr. Ingrid Wanura, and Eva Petrus Pekny founded "A-KU", "society for economic, cultural and philosophic events". "We want to accumulate, we want to pass on certain impulse, that's why our motto is "we are an impulse".



The "Ausseer Kultursommer"
("Kultursommer" ="cultural summer")

Every year from July til August the "Ausseer Kultursommer" takes place. It is always based on the same questions: Where do we come from? Where are we going? What's the meaning of being on earth? The aim of life? Do we appreciate the creation, nature and the true values of live enough?
We're dealing with difficult social issues like education, comprehensive nursing and aging with dignity.
We succeed to get great experts to take part in our project, well-known scientists, artists, ecologists and theologians. We discuss topics like pedagogic, psychology, environmental issues, philosophy as well as medicine, especially children-appropriate naturopathy.
Dr. Michael Stellmann, homoeopathic consultant of the children's hospital in Munich as well as the manager of the naturopathic hospital in Munich joined us, Erwin Ringel was our friend and adviser. Gunther Nenning accompanies us every year; the famous philosopher Jochen Kirchhoff honours us with his attendance as well as versatile and profound Herbert Zeman, outsider-expert Roland Girtler….
